An author shows great trust when they hand their work over to an editor. I work to honor that trust, sharpen your message, and preserve the voice and verve of each author. I studied editing as part of my undergrad, began work as a freelancer in 2008, and earned a copyediting certificate from UC San Diego in 2018. Over the last fifteen years, I’ve worked as a technical writer and editor, a copy editor for an academic publisher, and as a freelance editor working with independent authors. I’ve worked on everything from scholarly articles and textbooks, to memoirs, to children’s fiction. In my spare time, I’m usually reading (of course) or hiking in the mountains with my family.
